Dr. Sarah Smith graduated from Columbia University with her doctorate in physical therapy and completed Geriatric Residency Training in Miami, Florida. After her residency, Dr. Smith worked in an outpatient physical therapy clinic specializing in neurologic and older adult care. She is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Director of Clinical Education at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science. Dr. Smith would like to extend a special thanks to the UMB PTRS Class of 2026 students, Rachel, Asmita, and Evan for their assistance with the workshop.
