Pampers Diaper Drive

In June 2024, the Church of the Holy Trinity’s two community outreach ministries, CHT Community Outreach and Empowering a Healthier Community Outreach, co-ordinated a campaign to supply diapers to 10 families with infants for the months of July through October 2024.  Their appeal to the church members and wider community is below:

“Diapers are a necessity for families with very young infants and children. They are also very expensive  and are not subsidized by any governmental ‘safety net’ program.  On the average, an infant uses 6000 to 8000 diapers before they are potty trained.  Infrequent diaper changes put young infants and children at risk for skin and urinary tract infections.  To help families with this expensive necessity for their very young infants and children, please donate to our Community Outreach Ministry to support 10 women for the next two to three months with diapers.  No donation is too small.  PASS IT ON!”

The response was beyond expectations!

At the end of July,  the Church of the Holy Trinity Volunteer Coordinator presented Healthy Start with 1,000 diapers—for 10 newborns and their families. Representatives from Healthy Start accepted this first part of the Outreach Ministry’s Diaper Drive. Thank you to our wonderful volunteers who packaged the diapers in the beautiful gift bags.

The diaper drive accepted donations (in-kind, money, and funds via the Pampers’ Diaper Stash website) until October 31, 2024.
